Regardless of the brake caliper used, the primary limitation of the stock WRX brake system is the front rotors and their inability to properly manage and dissipate the converted thermal energy. With our Stage 2 kit, we provide WRX owners with a more durable and reliable system that still fits under the stock 16" wheels. To remedy the durability issues with the factory brake system, we cryogenically treat the rotors to extract the best results from the factory equipment. This special process improves the molecular structure of the rotor and converts over the soft carbon spots left by factory casting. This greatly reduces the grooving, wear, and warping for which the stock rotors are infamous. Their ability to handle the high thermal loading experienced in performance applications is greatly improved – all helping to keep the rotor, as well as the entire brake system, in optimal working condition for a longer period of time.
